  • Add value through content, community, or experience (not just reselling Alibaba junk).

Why it matters: If customers trust you more than Amazon, they'll pay more and wait longer.


💰 2. Have Solid Margins

You:

  • Find unique products with high perceived value and low cost.

  • Price them with at least 3x markup to cover:

    • Ads

    • Refunds

    • Transaction fees

    • Your time

Why it matters: Tiny margins will kill you once you scale or start paying for traffic.


📦 3. Offer Something That’s Hard to Find Elsewhere

You:

  • Find trending or under-the-radar products.

  • Use custom packaging or bundles.

  • Work with suppliers who can give you semi-exclusivity or white-labeling.

Why it matters: If your product is everywhere, people will price-shop you to death.


📲 4. Crush It with Marketing

You:

  • Run killer TikTok, Instagram, or UGC-style ads.

  • Know your CAC and LTV.

  • Optimize the funnel: fast site, smooth checkout, trust-building content.

Why it matters: Dropshipping is really a marketing game. Your edge is how you sell, not what you sell.


🚫 When It Doesn't Make Sense:

  • You’re selling saturated, low-quality products from AliExpress.

  • You don’t have a brand, unique angle, or marketing skills.

  • You expect passive income from day one.
